I have been keeping very busy, today I was out cutting wood stockings for my craft night at the library. I had to turn down a show today because I had already paid for one the same weekend. Too bad because it was one that was being held by the library, there was a cancellation and they called me. Oh well this happens now and again and so many shows this time of year.

A Little Weenie Giveaway

Hi friends

well I have been busy painting for my shows and now and again I get itchy fingers to do a mini mixed media. This latest one is done in the theme for Hallow e'en and I am going to give it away to one lucky winner.

This is a 5x7 canvas board and is an original OOAK piece by me. Who knows maybe one day I will be famous (NOT) and you will have one of my treasured originals.

All you have to do is post a comment. If you are already a  follower or  become one, let me know in your post and you will be eligible for a 2nd chance to win. And if you also post my little button on your blog and tell others about my draw you will get your name thrown in for a 3rd chance to win.

I generally do not do much in the way of  Hallow e'en. I live in the country and we get, if we are lucky, 3 kids. We don't have children or grandchildren so it is not something I decorate for. I do like costumes and fun things related to it but it is not one event I plan for.

I will include some things along with this canvas but perhaps not Hallow e'en related but items you can use in your art. If you have seen my giveaways before you will know I like to give.

200 PLUS 50 Giveaway

So are you scratching your head wondering what this is all about??? well I am about to tell you.

My goal for 2012 was to reach 200 Followers by the end of the year....well since doing my 29 Faces challenge I have been blessed with more followers and I am now at 200 and it is only May. Speaking of May that is the month of my birthday in fact it was a couple weeks ago and I turned 50. I can't say I was overjoyed by the number, but, I had a great day and it was just the way I wanted it. 

OK now onto the good part....I am having a Giveaway and below I will show you a portion of the prize. If you have entered my Giveaways before you know I keep adding to the pile. Seems I get a lot of items and sometimes more than I can use so why not share it with someone....well another surprise I am giving away 2 prize packages and they will be added to in the next week.

I cannot believe I have reached this milestone and it is all because of YOU.

I started this blog because I wanted to share what I did with like minded people and of course meeting new people is something I have really enjoyed.

So here is to my 300th Post and to celebrate a little Giveaway.

As you know there is always rules for giveaways but you don't have to do any of these except leave me a comment.

And here is what you will receive, what you see is not necessarily what you get because the pile is already growing. There is even a little baggie you can't see with bonus items in it.

Papers, one of my key chains with ring will be provided, one of my shabby Angel hangers, the pic does not do this justice, sorry again I am no photographer. Burnt and painted glue butterflies, altered clothespins with butterflies to put on packages, give bags ie you can clip your birthday card to a package so it is all in one place!!!!, Artchix images, a couple mini dominoes so you can alter them yourself, some wood jewelery items from Artchix, apply an image and attach to a chain or your artwork.

 Here is a closeup of these altered Clothespins, I gessoed the pins then applied washi papers to them then added the butterflies. So addicting and they really transform those brown boring pins. New Addiction

 The picture does not do this any justice. I got this image free on Fripperies and Butterflies. I have just recently made a few of these little ATC sized fabric hangers. I added some vintage lace, (thanks Mum) satin ribbon adorned with a brad pegs removed with lovely pearls. I made the hanger and painted these mini clothes pins. I made a few of these at Christmas and they were a real hit. (Thanks Nancy for the inspiration)

                                                        

 And of course my Key fob made from counter top laminate samples (thanks Home Depot and Loews) LOL

The ring will be provided for you to attach, it is easier to send separate for shipping.

 And I was so excited to do a mini altered canvas with an Artchix mermaid image, the verse came with the images, shells from a swap and I added the crinkly ribbon and some micro beads, and.....I also made the dangly bead hangy thing on the bottom. Love how these turned out.

So there you have it. Like I said I am adding more as I clean up around my kitchen table studio and bins under the bed and stashes all around. LOL

I have been one busy chick outside with hubs getting our veggie garden ready. There has been an explosion of carnivorous black flies. I am not sure if I hate mosquitoes or black flies more, they are equally something I do not care for. Weed control is outrageous but has to be done befoe tilling, gotta grab and toss those nasty root systems. Pansies are potted and placed on the deck, I bought some when I went to Loew's this week to up my supply for my key chains. I didn't feel so bad after buying something. I have a whack of them now they are so addicting. I will be posting some things over the weekend. Rain in the forecast so what a better way to catch up on challenges and create a bit too.

Oh.... and see that ATC book with the Umbrella man? I made that as a stamp out of fun foam. It isn't a Tim Holtz it is a Harmony Road stamp. LOL You just put a bit of glue stick glue on either side, attach to your acrylic blog, use the stamp as you would any stamp. Remove and clean off the ink and the glue washes off as well,  ready to use next time, great thing about it is you can flip it unlike other stamps. I love my Umbrella man. I have a mini one too I used on a domino.
